Ever find yourself in a funk and bidding on an eBay auction thinking you'll be outbid anyway at the last minute? Yeah, unfortunately no snipers at the last minute so I've got an Apple //e system on it's way to the house in a few weeks. :apple_logo:

I was not into Apple //e as much as my brother was back in the day but I've still got fond memories of them. Our local school district was a MECC member so I ended up being one of the student volunteers that helped organize the collection and make the discs available to classrooms. I played a lot of MECC games back then including, of course, The Oregon Trail. I'm pretty sure I ended up trying every option that was available to see how the logic branches worked to give different results.

Not sure I really want to keep an Apple //e system here at the house so there's a chance it might be donated to my brother.

... and, as feared, the monitor arrived nearly destroyed. 🙁 This is now the second time I've tried getting a monitor from eBay only to have it arrive destroyed. The first time was a C= 1701 that I was looking forward to adding to the collection, that one arrived in similar shape as the Apple monitor you see below. 🙁

So far no response from the eBay seller about how they'd like to handle it. From what I understand, worst case scenario is that I can open a case with eBay to initiate a return for INAD ("Item Not As Described") due to the damage but hopefully the seller has a better suggestion/option.
