Welcome! Loadstar CE is dedicated to vintage computers with an emphasis on Commodore and Loadstar Magazine.

All chat about Commodore, Loadstar Magazine, and other vintage computers & tech is welcome. The site started as way of being able to host issues 200-250 of Loadstar (Thanks, Dave!) and, taking advantage of having a bunch of extra licenses handy, we've opened up the forum and will be working on adding a bunch of resources.

I've started working on a 'breadbin' inspired color theme, still need to come up with a matching logo though.

At some point the default color theme will likely be based on the responses to the 'Commodore Colors' poll. 🙂

When you think of "Commodore" systems, what colors do you think of? 🤔

As we work on LoadstarCE.com I was trying to think of a color palette to start with and realized that what colors people identify as "Commodore" could vary greatly based on which machines they used.

For me, two different color palettes instantly come to mind when I think of "Commodore" computers. The first is the stark black, white & silvers of the VIC-20 and also of PETs with a green monochrome screen.
