Originally each newsletter was the print companion to specific issues and included in the Loadstar disk subscription but was later changed to be an independent newsletter with its own subscription.

It featured news, programs, and other content related to the Commodore 64 and Commodore 128 personal computers, often complementing the software and text included on the Loadstar floppy disks, but also contained a vast amount of tech knowledge & Commodore programming tips.

A total of 76 physical Loadstar Letter issues were published between July, 1993, and 2000.
