I'm John Harris. I wrote some games and other software for Loadstar long ago. I'm kind of embarrassed about most of it now (I was by no means one of their best programmers at the time), but creating them was a good experience.

I currently write for the blog Set Side B, I have a book of roguelike computer games out through Taylor & Francis, I've written another one for Limited Run Games that will be published someday I hope, and long ago I wrote the column @Play for the classic indie gaming blog GameSetWatch. I handle social media for Ramble House, and I've done a few other random things. I'm JHarris on Metafilter, @rodneylives@mefi.social on Mastodon, and rodneylives.bsky.social on Bluesky.
